适合美国人的巧克力巧克力蛋糕

蛋糕体: 实验室一个人的好方子(如下)。2片蛋糕中间加cherry jam。

Frosting: 1小盒heavy cream(235ml)烧开,倒入等量或更大量的巧克力碎中,搅搅搅到巧克力融化。稍微冷一下,就可以往蛋糕上倒了。据说这里用的巧克力质量越好最后出来的味道越好(dark或者semi-sweet)。恩 对了,还可以加点butter(3 tablespoons),成品表面能亮一些。


Black Magic Cake

Mouthwateringly moist with mysterious dark depths of flavor; this is our most requested cake recipe.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup HERSHEY'S cocoa
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup strong black coffee or 2 teaspoons powdered instant coffee plus 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup buttermilk or sour milk*
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans or one 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. In large mixer bowl, blend sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add eggs, coffee, buttermilk, oil and vanilla; beat on medium speed of elec tric mixer 2 minutes (batter will be thin). Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Cool com pletely. Frost as desired.

10 to 12 servings.

∗To sour milk: Use 1 tablespoon white vinegar plus milk to equal 1 cup.
